**Main Purpose of the Job**
Responsible for sales of VCM credits to corporates, governments, retail
traders, foundations, and institutional customers resulting in the conversion
of a demand pipeline of major organizations into sales of these unique VCM
credits.

**Tasks and responsibilities**

**Strategic**
● Play a critical role in shaping Boomitra’s go-to-market strategy, helping
create and implement a process for selling to both GHG trade desks and
enterprise customers.
● Develop strategies that enable Boomitra to efficiently reach enterprises at
scale through alliances with organizations that have strong enterprise
network. Manage some of these partnerships that are key to scaling the
business.
● Quantify value in the form of a return on investment or a business case.
● Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive key agreements
forward and manage individual and team goals.
● Inform and advise the management about trends in the market and recommend
strategic changes.

● Engage new potential buyers while deepening and broadening relationships as
they develop.
● Negotiate a complex sales process with buyers.
● Help new customers through the buying process to ensure a smooth and
rewarding experience.
● Maintain a portfolio of existing customers and be the primary (account
management) contact for them within the organization; strengthening
relationships with existing customers is of great importance.
● Be a critical point of connection between Boomitra’s team and prospective
customers. Communicate customer feedback to the team.
● Respond to inbound sales requests and follow up with customers.
● Communicate regularly and help manage relationships with existing customers.
● Organize and maintain up-to-date database of customer interactions and sales
pipeline in Boomitra’s CRM.**

**Marketing**
● Support Marketing in the creation of compelling sales materials in a variety
of formats to appeal to the target audiences.
● Execute high-quality materials for client introductions, proposals, and any
other relevant written material.
● Implement a variety of sales activities: cold/warm calling, networking,
(digital) marketing in collaboration with the marketing team; organize and
participate in events, follow up on leads coming in through different media.
● Represent Boomitra at appropriate carbon market events in order to expand
its network.
● Continuous improvement of the sales processes.

**Business Trends**
● Thorough understanding of international carbon markets, including, but not
limited to, supply and demand, logistics, regulations and operations.
● Keep current with all relevant industry trends (based on customer data,
behaviors, and feedback) to ensure the messaging of Boomitra resonates with
the target customers.
● Stay abreast about political and market trends and inform the management of
any legislative changes or trends that might impact the business of Boomitra.
● Specific knowledge of hedging and trading techniques for specific regions.
● Thorough understanding of all financial and physical products that are
viable for executing trading strategies and hedges.
● Thorough understanding of risk measurement techniques such as VaR used in
measuring specific trading activity.
● Ability to operate in a fast-paced dynamic commodity market environment,
where there are often time constraints and time sensitive deadlines.

**Your profile**
● University degree in Environmental Sciences, Business, Sustainability or
other relevant discipline.
● Must have experience in structuring complex multi-year Voluntary Emission
Reduction Purchase Agreements (VERPA)
● Experience in sales-facing carbon project finance strategies, such as pre-
payments, royalties, streams and structured finance.
● 5-7 years of experience trading, as well as experience managing
multifunctional teams.
● Excellent networks with sustainability managers of large
industries/corporates, trade desks.
● Experience in account management and relationship-based sales.
● Deep knowledge and expertise in AFOLU/environmental markets, sustainability,
and climate action.
● Knowledge of carbon markets and/or forestry carbon credits.
● Experience with B2B sales within the carbon markets.
● Demonstrated experience organizing and maintaining CRMs in an effective
manner.
● Well-developed writing, interpersonal and organizational skills.
● Experience as an effective communicator who is articulate and persuasive in
both the spoken and written word; must be adept at crafting sales materials
and making sales presentations.
● Be a self-starter with a growth mindset; be curious, organized and driven,
used to working in changing market conditions.
● Experience in establishing clear performance targets and metrics, with
proven track record of meeting or exceeding challenging targets.
● Strategic mindset, with the ability to create a regional business plan that
aligns with global strategy, enabling Boomitra to achieve its ambitions for
impact and growth.
● Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand the evolution of
environmental markets within the region and translate this into compelling
business opportunities that are financially sound.
● Outstanding interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills to partner
effectively with key internal and external stakeholders.
● Outstanding financial and planning skills, with experience contributing to
strategy and budgeting processes.
● Experience in scaling up a fast-growing organization in a highly competitive
market environment.
● Excellent written and oral command of English. Conversational ability in
Spanish, Portuguese is desirable.
● Existing relationships and experience working with potential clients,
collaborators or other relevant stakeholders is a plus.
