Engineer/Architect co-founder who has exceptional backend skills to work with
and lead other developers. We’re looking for a sweat-equity, confident,

In this role you’ll play an integral role in the delivery of web apps and
software solutions as a leader of our development team. You'll drive the
backend architecture and report directly to our founder. You must have a
passion for building innovative software and take pride in your work. You
should also have great analytical skills and the ability to handle complex,
modular software development on small self-directed teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Serve as the lead for an agile team driving user story analysis and elaboration, architecting and developing a mobile app backend system using best practices
* Perform all technical aspects of software development, including writing new code and creating scalable, maintainable and reliable API endpoints to support app use cases
* Developing a deep understanding of integrations with other systems and platforms
* Attend and participate in team meetings (standups, sprint planning, etc.)
* Working closely with our frontend developer/architect and at times other full stack engineers to define requirements, plan sprints, and implement versatile solutions to tricky problems
* Drive automation and ensure automated test scripts are completed for new features
* Staying highly aware of the industry trends and ready to build emerging technologies that'll improve solutions
* Challenge the status quo and pragmatically implement your creative ideas
REQUIRED SKILLS
* 8+ years of software design and development experience, solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and OOPs.
* Expert experience with NodeJS and JavaScript with an emphasis on the server side
* Strong understanding of NoSQL databases like MongoDB and graph databases like Neo4j
* Experience architecting, developing and working with RESTful APIs and JSON.
* Strong understanding of Build, Test. Deploy and Manage in a cloud environment.
* Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies
* Experience with information architecture, design systems and iterative design
* Experience implementing CI/CD, unit tests, integration tests, and test driven development
* Ability to commit to a timeline, stay on task, and ensure sufficient availability to complete assigned tasks on time
* Fluent in English, written/spoken and available in North America time zones.
* Humility, honesty, a sense of humor, and a hunger for doing more in life, believing in something or someone bigger than yourself a plus.
