a Series A in 2022. We are at the beginning of an exciting growth phase,
having already developed product-market fit, a working platform, and hundreds

for an experienced Back-end Engineer engineer with a startup mindset. Our
Current Tech Technical stack: Python / Django (Backend), Javascript
(Frontend), AWS services (Lambda, RDS, S3), PostgreSQL (Database), CircleCI
and other continuous integration tools Tech team: 12 engineers (+ 5 people in
the product team) Location: Los Angeles or remote OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
Mission/Responsibilities You will join a team responsible for building out
data pipelines and ensuring the accuracy of our data. We are a small but
mighty team, currently consisting of 3 engineers and 1 data scientist. We
collaborate closely to drive the technology and infrastructure that powers
BlueCargo’s product delivery, always aiming for precision and efficiency in
our work. As the Tech Lead, you will be building the platform technology and
infrastructure that drives BlueCargo’s product delivery. Your responsibilities
will include: Collaborating with product managers, designers, data scientists,
and other software engineers Translating product requirements and technical
designs into well-engineered, low-defect, robust code Researching new
technologies and methodologies to improve our architecture, software
components, user experience, and development process Leading and directing a
team of 3-4 engineers and 1 data scientist, taking complete ownership of the
features you work on, and ensuring successful product delivery Spending 50% of
your time coding to develop and deploy software, especially focusing on web
scraping and data pipeline tasks Qualifications In addition to the following
technical skills, we are looking for PROBLEM SOLVERS with an entrepreneurial
mindset. Several years of Python engineering experience, developing and
deploying software in a short cycle using Agile methodologies Solid
development skills in at least one of the following languages: Python,
JavaScript, or Go Experienced in data sourcing technologies (external APIs,
web-scraping, EDI files, etc.) and building data management platforms Proven
leadership qualities and the ability to take complete ownership of the
features you work on Proven ability to manage and lead a team, perform and
oversee complex tasks, and prioritize multiple tasks based on overall
strategic goals Strong knowledge of data modeling, building pipelines, and ETL
processes Interest and/or experience in logistics and/or supply chain Start-up
experience Experience working on cloud infrastructure, especially AWS
