What You’ll Do
* Design and execute a recruiting strategy to build up a new engineering team
* Work with the leadership team to produce and deliver the production operations roadmap
* Create team processes to surface, triage, and resolve urgent issues quickly
* Mentor engineers and sponsor them for the right projects to deliver the best product while growing their skillset
* Identify and promote engineering best practices
* Advise leadership team on technical feasibility and implications of product decisions
What We Look For
* Experience managing engineering teams
* 5+ years of experience building and deploying scalable applications in the cloud
* Experience with Ruby on Rails
* Expertise in scoping large projects and initiatives into small iterations for release
* Clear and efficient communication skills
* Mentorship skills and the ability to give well-crafted constructive feedback
* Experience in a startup environment is not required but preferred
