We are working to help people achieve purpose in their careers and life - to

We are establishing our engineering team with its first few founding members.
As a founding full-stack engineer at Banff, you will contribute to the
company’s growth by extending and building our core products and the APIs that
power them. You will help grow and shape our engineering team culture and
infrastructure. You will work closely with our growing team of engineers,
product managers, machine learning researchers, executive advisors, and
operational specialists and see all parts of the business and help shape the
technology culture from its earliest stages.
##### _**Sample projects you will work on**_
* Enhance and scale the Banff platform app, used both by internal and external users, to assist in creating career opportunities and connections between our enterprise partners and executive clients
* Partner with data engineering and data science to create an equity-driving recommendation system that connects executive advisors with “less expected” career opportunities
* Assist in migrating the existing SPA to a Nextjs application
* Assist in improving our engineering workflows and toolings in order to help scale the product and support team growth
##### _**Requirements**_
##### _**Skills we are excited about**_
* You have 5+ years of experience building user-facing applications in React (or similar frameworks)
* You have 3+ years of experience designing and building APIs using technologies such as (but not limited to) Python, FastAPI / Flask / Django (we use FastAPI)
* You have experience working with modern relational databases (we use Postgres) and feel confident in modeling data
* You have experience working closely with designers, crafting frontend components, and designing systems
* You’re well versed in service and infrastructure best practices such as testing, CI/CD, monitoring, profiling, and documentation (we use Docker, Heroku, and Vercel)
* You're a clear communicator and are able to articulate and distill complex topics for both technical and non-technical team members, especially in a remote async-first environment
* You are a critical thinker who is able to break down large problems down and deeply understand the tradeoffs involved in solving them in a business-driven environment

* You have a passion for the experience of end users, and advocate for them in your development process
* You love Figma and working closely with designers on balancing technical complexity and user-facing value
* You have experience with Nextjs, Tailwindcss, and react-query
