Aza Power Systems is looking for a CEO to lead our deep tech startup.
Position:
Opportunity to join a newly launched company that was founded by two faculty
at the University of Minnesota. We are looking for a sharp, entrepreneurial,
and extremely driven individual that will act as CEO to lead a highly
innovative climate tech startup.
* An absolute requirement is to have experience in the energy, automotive or heavy-transportation sectors.
* Nice to have, is experience commercializing and manufacturing equipment as an OEM.
* Additional experience commercializing technologies, selling technical systems, and growing a company are also highly desired.
Company:
Aza Power Systems was co-founded by two leaders in the combustion engineering
space: a Professor and PhD faculty from the University of Minnesota. Aza
recently spun-out into a standalone company and is positioned for exceptional
growth. The Company has a portfolio of technologies that use ammonia as a
carbon-free fuel for engines, generators, and power turbines. Aza has a strong
patent portfolio and clear path to multiple product offerings. Aza has built
and tested multiple lab-scale systems that have de-risked the core
technologies and will serve as the foundation for the technology scale-up into
commercial products. In addition to the two Co-Founders, Aza is supported by
an experienced CFO that has helped scale multiple deep tech startups. This is
a rare opportunity to join an early-stage startup that has an exceptional
technology portfolio and is positioned to be a leader in carbon free fuels.
Logistics:
Full-time position that will initially be working for equity compensation
(with flexible time commitment). Once capital is raised (summer 2023), a
competitive cash salary and benefits will be available. Preference for a local
candidate but open to this being a remote position with frequent travel to
Minneapolis.
