This role will initially focus on building partnerships at our portfolio
company, Visual Quiz Builder (VQB).
VQB is a powerful quiz platform used by thousands of Shopify merchants to
create beautiful on-brand quizzes. These quizzes drive higher sales by
personalizing the e-commerce experience for customers. They also gather
valuable zero party data and integrate seamlessly with CRMs and analytics
tools. Quizzes are a proven conversion tool in verticals like beauty &
skincare, health & wellness, pet products, tea / coffee stores, and new
verticals are constantly experimenting with and adopting quizzes. VQB's
customers see a 2x – 9x improvement in conversion rates through their quizzes.
As our Director of Agency Partnerships, you will be working directly with the
CEO of Visual Quiz Builder (one of the managing partners of Alleyway) and
leading up the most important pillar of our growth strategy. The ideal
candidate will have scaled successful agency partnerships, have a strong
network with agencies (preferably in the e-commerce space) and thrive on
building relationships.
We aren’t your typical venture backed start up. VQB was started back in 2019
and was one of the first apps in its category in the Shopify app store. It was
purchased by Alleyway Capital in 2022 as we saw a significant opportunity to
upgrade the product and grow the business in a responsible and profitable way.

created one of the most feature rich and easy-to-use products on the market
with multiple agency partners and dozens of case studies to build off-of.
What You’ll Do:
* Own the agency partnership strategy.
* Identify and recruit new agency partners. You will be supported by tools like PartnerStack and an existing list of agencies to approach.
* Train partners on Visual Quiz Builder’s solutions and ensure they are equipped to refer and resell.
* Drive and promote partner engagement with Visual Quiz Builder content, events, and campaigns. Occasionally, develop this content in conjunction with the agency customers and copywriters.
* Develop co-marketing initiatives with partners to drive mutual growth.
* Monitor partner performance and implement strategies for improvement.
* Collaborate with internal teams (product, customer success and engineering) to maximize partner opportunities.
Who We’re Looking For:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in partner management, sales, or business development, OR working for a service provider within the eCommerce space.
* Understands the inner workings of agencies and has a track-record of managing and growing relationships with agencies.
* Passionate about sales, hunting, creating funnels and reaching out to new agencies.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
* A product-oriented mindset.
* Familiarity with the eCommerce industry is a plus.
* Flexibility / Preference to be part-time while the program is ramping up.
