Job Description

AlleyCorp is looking for an Analyst (~1-3 years experience) or Associate (~3-6
years experience) to join our growing investment and incubation team. In this
role, you will work alongside our Partners, Kevin Ryan, and broader team on
research, ideation, user and product discovery, and various initiatives
connected to launching and investing in new companies. You will play an
integral role in shaping multiple new companies each year while also investing
in other startups.

For this role in particular, we're looking for someone with strong technical
skills and experience. You likely currently or previously worked as an
engineer, data scientist, technical product manager, or some similar role. You
are hyper-curious and detail oriented and are excited to roll up your sleeves
to build alongside a collaborative and dedicated team.

Though not required, we like it when we see startup experience on a resume. No
prior investing experience is required.

We find that Analysts and Associates stay in the role for a few years, after
which time they often have the opportunity to grow into an operating or
founding role in an AlleyCorp incubation, or to grow within the internal team.

**What You’ll Do **

Supporting investment and incubation work, with a specific focus on enterprise
tech (cloud, infrastructure, data, developer tooling, etc.).

**Incubation:**

* Participate in idea generation and refinement toward new incubations
* Research fundamental trends, markets, and emerging technologies
* Develop pitch/concept decks and other materials in support of new company development
* Support incubation companies through the earliest stages of hiring, product development, business development, and fundraising

**Investing:**

* Source and evaluate new investment opportunities
* Conduct deal diligence and draft internal documentation
* Help grow the AlleyCorp presence by developing strong relationships with founders, investors, and other ecosystem partners

**Who You Are **

* A product manager, engineer, or broader technology operator at a startup, who wants to make the move to the investor side, OR:
* A current investor in early stage venture capital with deep experience in enterprise tech
* A recent MBA or Masters graduate with prior startup experience
* Years of overall work experience can range from 1-6 years

**To Apply:**

Please include Cover Letter responding to the following questions:

1. Please tell us about 2-3 topic areas, pain points, or industries that really excite you, and why.
2. What do you hope to gain from working with AlleyCorp?
