**About this opportunity**


Align is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to assist us
in the delivery of world class software quality for our one-of-a-kind clear
aligner. This position will be on the Fabrication team, tasked with driving
quality and creating automated test solutions for a new service-based
architecture needed to manufacture innovative new products. The ideal
candidate has experience in developing tests for new features and creating
automated testing environments in which to run these tests.


**In this role, you will…**

* Operate as a member of a cross-functional development team.
* Ensure Quality Engineering practices are followed by working closely with other engineers and business individuals for the delivery of software releases.
* Develop new test automation solutions.
* Partner with your engineering counterparts for white-box test analysis.
* Work collaboratively with Product Owners on analyzing specifications and deriving detailed requirements.
* Estimate and create Test Plans, ensuring that Quality work is visible to all stakeholders.
* Monitor production functionality and environment telemetry, investigating and troubleshooting problems in a variety of environments.


**In this role, you’ll need …**

* 4-year degree (in CS / Engineering preferred) or equivalent years of experience.
* 5+ years of experience in creating automated tests with modern programming/scripting languages, such as Python (a plus), Java, C#, C++, etc.
* Strong foundation in both Object-Oriented Design and Scripting.
* Strong foundation of APIs, Web Services and other modern engineering stack components.
* Ability to pick up on new technologies and build testing frameworks.

**Desired**

* Some knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* Experience with Build Management, Software Configuration Management, Change Management, and Release Management
