**Must be a US Citizen to be considered for this role.**
* **Application Development and Deployment across a full SDLC. CI/CD practices preferred. (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.)**
* **Process automation and scripting (Python, BASH)**
* **Working in both Linux and Windows Server environments**
* **Building and maintaining AWS infrastructure in a working production environment (EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, etc.)**
* **Experience with ** **Infrastructure as Code &** ** Configuration as Code practices**
* **Experience with source code management and tooling (GitHub , CodeCommit, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy)**
* **Strong problem-solving and analytical skills**
We are looking for someone who is well-versed in software engineering,
experienced with AWS services and has a passion for streamlining DevOps
practices and processes. You’ll apply your development talent to design and
implement end-to-end Infrastructure & Configuration as Code solutions to drive
Cloud platform automation and adoption. If you are a software engineer that

**Duties and responsibilities for DevOps Software Engineer**
* Design and build Cloud-centric solutions used by Alight Product development teams for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, orchestration, and deployment pipelines
* Analyze usage and adoption of internally developed Cloud tooling by our internal customers
* Identify, document, and plan improvements to our Cloud tooling products
* Ensure compliance with company’s IT infrastructure security protocols and best practices
Bonus Points If You Have
* Experience in designing and building automated infrastructure and software delivery pipelines.
* 5+ years of experience related to software development and deployments
* Contributed to open-source technologies and tools
* Strong communication skills and language bridging between development teams, operations teams, and business stakeholders
* 2+ years of experience configuring server and application platforms with Configuration as Code practices (Ansible)
* 2+ years of experience provisioning cloud resources with Infrastructure as Code practices (Terraform, CloudFormation)
* Infrastructure or Application Architecture experience
* Working in an Agile environment with SCRUM per Kanban methodologies
* Working in ITSM environment with ServiceNow
* Demonstrated ability of successfully mentoring and training fellow team members
* AWS Certification
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering related field or equivalent work experience

Pay Transparency Statement: Alight takes into consideration a candidate’s
experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal
equity, and geography when determining an offer for a successful employment
candidate, and Alight does so on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis.
Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere between the estimated minimum base
salary for this role of $83,700.00/year (for full time employees) and the
estimated maximum base salary for this role of $186,400.00/year (for full time
employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be eligible for a
