Title: Python Backend Developer

We build and deliver platform for standard data models and system-level
visualization capabilities. By integrating all crucial data into a single
platform, everyone involved in the fabrication process can visualize,
contextualize and examine data in one intuitive interface.
Our platform is based on a service-oriented architecture, using APIs to drive
a clean and responsive application experience. We are looking for team members
to help us build, maintain, and improve the application that makes us the
leading provider of manufacturing data pipelines and analytics.
** _Responsibilities
_**
* Take a lead role in the platform development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, architecture, and documentation
* Design, Build, and maintain APIs for our manufacturing data application
* Participate in code review and work to continuously improve the quality of the backend codebase
* Monitor, diagnose, and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks in the end-to-end system
* Serve as a leader in best practices, team health, and our culture of engineering by mentoring and coaching teammates.
**_Requirements
_**
* 4+ years of industry experience building robust backend systems
* Expertise with Python and proficiency with Unix shell scripting required
* Expertise with SQL syntax and experience with a RDBMS like PostgreSQL. Some familiarity with data lakes, Columnar stores, NoSQL DBs like MongoDB is a plus.
* Experience building distributed work systems (e.g. Celery + RabbitMQ) is a plus
* Experience with docker orchestration (ECS, k8s, etc.) is a plus
* Experience with ETL and data pipelines is a plus
