**ROLE SUMMARY:**
* We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Python to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications that deliver scalable and efficient solutions, with a strong emphasis on rapid prototyping and working closely with the data science team.

* This role will report to the VP Product Creation in the AOF Product team
**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Design, develop, and maintain applications using Python.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists to identify business requirements and provide technical solutions.
* Use rapid prototyping techniques to test new ideas and features.
* Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
* Develop automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
* Participate in code reviews to maintain code standards and improve overall code quality.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development and Python.
* Work closely with the data science team to integrate machine learning models into applications.
* Develop and maintain APIs and microservices to support data science workflows.
**MUST HAVES:**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* At least seven years of experience in software development with a focus on Python for at least four years.
* Strong understanding of software engineering practices, including agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
* Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
* Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
* Ability to rapidly prototype and test new ideas and features.
* Experience working with data science teams to create scalable, production-ready applications.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
**NICE TO HAVES:**
* Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
* Experience using GraphQL.
* Experience integrating machine learning models into applications.
