Job Description
Our client is a stealth startup in the prototype phase looking for a
**Software Engineering Leader** who will be the driving force behind our
technical strategy and execution. They are building a consumer app at the
cross-section of social media and entertainment. The founders include some of
the most recognized names in pop culture, entertainment, and sports.
You will join them on the ground floor of the company and have the unique
opportunity to bring a 0-to-1 product to market. From crafting seamless user
experiences to influencing their tech stack, your technical expertise will be
pivotal in their journey to scale. We are looking for someone who is
passionate about building delightful user experiences and is excited to work
as an IC to kickstart our growth.
They are currently building with TypeScript, React Native, React, Next.js,
Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
### **How you will make an impact:**
* **Architect & Innovate:** Break down complex requirements, architect elegant solutions, and lead the charge in developing mission-critical features.
* **Build Delightful Experiences:** Deliver features across our full stack, ranging from data schemas and server-side APIs to front-end UX.
* **Scale & Optimize:** Future-proof our backend and optimize our tech stack for tomorrow's challenges.
* **Communicate with Stakeholders:** Collaborate closely with product and regularly update investors on progress and milestones.
* **Nurture Talent:** Shape their team through hiring and mentorship as they grow.
### **What you bring to the table:**
* You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science and 7-10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on mobile development.
* You’re experienced in architecting, developing, and testing full-stack mobile applications E2E.
* You’re comfortable with React Native, open source APIs, serverless architecture and services (e.g. Vercel or AWS Lambda), and relational databases.
* You take pride in writing clean, maintainable, well-documented, and well-tested code.
* You’re ready to lead the charge into uncharted territory and have a growth mindset.
* You have high emotional intelligence and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
* You have excellent verbal communication skills and experience with executive or client-facing communication.
